OPEN AND INVITING

Kanteen is an open, inviting space with an emphasis on freshness, local seasonal foods, and a sustainable outlook, with 100% compostable packaging. We are open from 7am to 2.30pm with our kitchen closing at 1.30pm. We have a full kitchen and are in early baking up a storm, preparing fresh salads and creating interesting counter food.

LOCAL SEASONAL FOODS

The menu is comprehensive, offering daily specials as well as an all day breakfast and lunch menu. So meals can be tailored to your own requirements. On Friday Kanteen is open till late serving craft beer, NZ wine, a spirit selection, and non alcoholic drinks.

FUNCTIONS / CATERING

Interested in hosting your next function at Kanteen? We are available in the evenings from 4pm, with free venue hire. Positioned next to the centrally located box lobby of NZ Post House, Kanteen is fully licensed and able to cater for private functions from the early evening for a private gathering of 30 to 200 people providing canape or platter style catering options. We can work to your specific requirements.
